Validation Information Session
An information session on validation is being offered by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) in support of the Clean Hydrogen Investment Tax Credit (ITC). Participation in this information session will meet the CH-ITC Validation Information Session attendance requirement. Under this ITC, validation of clean hydrogen projects must be performed by qualified validation firms to evaluate aspects of the clean hydrogen production project, including reasonableness of design and carbon intensity. It is recommended that the Clean Hydrogen Investment Tax Credit – Validation and Verification Guidance Document is studied prior to attending the information session.
Who is this for: Target audience is validators and validation reviewers, but open to the general public.

These sessions will be recorded and made available for viewing at any time following the October 2024 sessions. Regardless of how the session was attended, an attestation of participation will need to be completed and included in the validation report.
Upon completing the information session, participants can take an optional self-assessment quiz to test their understanding. This quiz is intended to be an additional tool to reinforce the participants’ knowledge, with explanations provided for each question's answer. NRCan will not track quiz scores.
Update sessions containing ongoing validation observations will be offered in the future.
